I was unable to locate Sera before the moot.
I went to the moot early and met Maddie ~Broken Toes~, a fostern metis theurge of the Bone Gnawers. She is the first metis I have met that was not cliath ranked.
Maddie is also the sept's Master of the Rite. She agreed to teach me rites after I completed my chiminage, and in return she can call upon me to teach others rites so that she need not waste her time teaching others.
She was raised in a warehouse in a city by CoGs and Gnawers.
I told her how I was raised in a pit just inside a cave (where I could sometimes see the sun and the moon through the cave's mouth), where they would throw me food and sometimes talk to me.
Right before the moot began, I met Charlene ~Song of Vengence~, a fostern Fury galliard who spoke with my using the Mind Speech gift. She seemed friendly and offered her aid to me if I should need it. Why would she offer aid to a lowly cliath metis of a different tribe who is not even a member of her sept?
The moot began. They have three totem spirits. THREE! The likes of which I have never seen nor experienced. Their spiritual wealth at this sept is indeed plentiful. More than what I had heard back at the Sept of the Yellow Hill.
The moot involved a trial for a Fostern galliard Bone Gnawer, ~Sucks-the-Marrow-from-the-Bones.~ She had killed over 30 people, used the Gnawer's tribal gift of Cooking to render them edible, and eaten them all. She felt they deserved it for wasting food and not sharing their scraps with her. The sept's disgust and outrage at this clear Litany violation was obvious.
Despite the naysayers at Yellow Hill, who claimed this sept was too liberal, they passed a verdict of death for the cannibal Gnawer. She tried to flee, but one of the totems--a bird of flames--burned her to nothingness. Just one of their totems is that strong--and they have two more in addition to that one.
The sept has a number of troubles in the city. There are corrupted roach spirits to be dealt with and humans in suits are stalking the garou and trying to make them tell the truth and break the veil. It seems, like back at Yellow Hill, the source of most troubles comes from the nearby city.
The Furies have a young member, X, who lacks a great deal of control and is disrespectful. She speaks out of turn during the breaking of the bone, looked on the verge of frenzy at one point, and appeared to be taken by the Fox at another.
The revel was an engling hunt. It was very satisfying.
